Key Responsibilities:
- Assistance with care in the home (bathing, toileting, mobility)
- Getting out for social engagement, activities and attending appointments (own vehicle essential)
- Assistance with household tasks (may include cleaning, meal preparation)
- Assistance with medications
- Light administrative duties (record maintenance, reporting)
Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in the role, you will require the following:
- A genuine passion to work alongside participants/the elderly and to make a positive and lasting difference in their lives
- Professional or lived experience of the NDIS and/or Aged Care sectors
- Experience of complex behaviours and behaviour support methods (a bonus - not a requirement)
- Excellent communication skills, commitment to a person-centred focus and flexibility to support needs based on individual circumstances
- A sense of humour (another bonus - not a requirement)
- Resilience and compassion
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Qualification in Disability, Aged Care or related field preferred
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current CPR certificate
- Current Working with Children check
- Current Drivers Licence & access to a reliable vehicle
- The right to work in Australia
