About us
The Footscray Medical Clinic has been providing exceptional patient care for over 30 years to the Vietnamese community in the area. This small family-run clinic is looking for a medical receptionist to join our team. Our ideal candidate will work to deliver essential support to the clinic by providing high-quality care and service to our patients. As the face of our clinic we are looking for an empathetic and enthusiastic person with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
Bilingual individuals who are fluent in VIETNAMESE in addition to English are highly encouraged to apply.
Qualifications & experience
- 1+ years of Medical Receptionist experience and have certificate in medical administration
- Ability to write fluently in English and speak both English and Vietnamese
- Customer service experience welcomed - particularly in a busy environment
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR): Know how to use office computer Word, Excel, Pracnet patient management clinic management software (patient record management, electronic medical records, electronic prescriptions, medical appointments)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to multitask, follow procedures and meet deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
Tasks & responsibilities
- Welcome patients on arrival - help with any queries they may have
- Manage a high volume of telephone enquiries in a friendly and helpful manner
- Schedule appointments using medical software
- General administrative duties - review Medicare cards, complete patient paperwork, filing, using Pracnet patient management clinic software etc.
- Liaise with the practice manager and doctor in the centre.
- Set day roster - we are flexible on day allocation
