Pharmacy assistant required for FULL-TIME position in Broadmeadows. You will be afforded all your applicable entitlements such as sick pay, public holidays, annual leave plus superannuation etc. Want to have reliable regular shifts and pays, and be able to plan your weekend and social life. The work shift is Mon-Fri: 9am-5pm (weekends off).
About the role
This is a professional retail position that allows you to develop strong relationship bonds with patients and assist them with their general healthcare needs. A very connected role that is very rewarding. If you enjoy looking after others, have good communication skills, compassion and understanding for others, this position will be ideal for you. Must have excellent customer service and speak fluent English. Having a second language would be advantageous i.e. Arabic, Vietnamese, Turkish, Italian, Greek etc.
This position is ideally suited for those with a passion for learning and willing to put out time to do some reading or homework to improve your knowledge of pharmacy practice. We are looking for candidates wanting to have a long term career in the pharmacy sector.
Requirements
- Prior pharmacy retail experience would be ideal, otherwise could accommodate someone with extensive proven experience in the health sector or retail experience who wants to give pharmacy a go (at least 2 years).
- Looking for hardworking and intelligent people that have a passion for learning, reading, studying and helping customers with their healthcare needs
- Must be able to deliver impeccable customer service and enhance customer loyalty and new customer acquisition in line with training and pharmacy knowledge

Duties and Responsibilities
The pharmacy assistant is required to excel in all areas in customer service, this includes:
- Sales
- Stock control
- Merchandising
- Learning product knowledge
- Providing complete health guidance and advice
- Meet KPI's
- Understand all aspects of retailing
- Build excellent rapport with customers
- Work in a clean and professional manner in accordance to relevant legislation and guidelines
