Radiology Receptionist - South West Sydney Full-time Job

About the business and the role

BLMI (Bankstown Lidcombe Medical Imaging) provides a comprehensive range of imaging services including MRI, General X-ray, Dental Imaging, CT, Ultrasound and Mammography.

We currently have a vacancy for a Full time Receptionist for the South West Sydney region to provide support and interaction with a close-knit team and medical clients.         

As the first point of contact for all patient contact and interaction with external stakeholders it is imperative that:

• You are immaculately presented with an outgoing and professional personality
• Have at least 2 years prior reception, administration or customer experience, preferably within healthcare industry
• Be able to take direction as well as the capacity to operate independently using initiative and self-direction to produce high quality work.
• Ability to multitask, switch from project to project and prioritise effectively
• Ability to manage well under pressure.
• Efficient, hard-working, pro-active and self-motivated
• Have outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Well developed relationship building skills - comfortable interacting at every level
• Happy to take on various admin tasks to assist the support team when there is overflow of work
• Intermediate MS office skills- Word, Excel & Google Drive
• Exceptional phone manner

Job tasks and responsibilities

Main Duties:

• Answering busy phones with enquiries & scheduling of appointments
• Updating, scanning & importing medical records
• Liaising with doctors, patients and external stakeholders
• General accounts and billing
• Supporting the business manager with general admin duties.

Skills and experience

Essential:

• Ability to quickly learn Radiology software (Comrad & Inteleviewer)
• Computer Literacy (i.e. Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
• High Standard of Communication – written and verbal
• Outgoing, well-networked individual who is confident and easy to get along with
• Professional personal presentation
• Commitment to delivering Exceptional Customer Service to Referring Practitioners
• Highly motivated and well organised
• Enthusiastic and honest

Desirable

• Previous experience in a radiology environment
• Certificate of Medical Terminology
• Certificate III Customer Service and/ or Essential Selling Skills
• Arabic or Vietnamese speaking desirable
